Recreation
Facilities located in the Village of Stockholm include a three diamond ball park that continues to attract provincial class tournaments as well as the Sports Day, usually on July 1st each year.
The new Stockholm Communiplex contains a first class hall facility available for a wide variety of local events and celebrations. There is a popular dinner theatre presentation by the local drama club, the Sow’s Belly Soup Group, staged on two weekends in March. Also, within the Communiplex is the arena. It is used for hockey, figure skating and public skating in the winter season.
The surrounding area offers many recreational activities, including curling, theatres, dance lessons, music, minor hockey, precision figure skating, riding clubs and much more.
Nearby, Round Lake in the beautiful Qu’Appelle Valley boasts all the essentials for a relaxing vacation. There, the resorts of Bird’s Point or West End offers camping, swimming, water skiing, boating and fishing in the summer and snowmobiling and ice fishing in the winter.
